Does my crew need to install an app?

No. The worker scans a QR code with their phone camera, and the conversation opens in their browser (Safari or Chrome). There is nothing to download, no account to create, and no permissions hassle beyond the one-time microphone prompt. The only person who needs an account is you, the foreman — and only if you want transcripts saved.

How is this different from Google Translate?

Google Translate is built for tourist phrases, not jobsite vocabulary. VoiceBridge is tuned for construction terms (rebar, conduit, joist, OSB, footing, framing) and renders them as the trade equivalents in Spanish or Portuguese rather than literal translations. It also runs as a continuous two-way conversation: you press to talk, your worker hears it in their language, they reply, and you hear theirs. Google Translate makes you take turns through the same phone.

Does it work on a noisy jobsite?

Yes. The press-to-talk model means the microphone only captures intentional speech (when you hold the button), not background hammer noise. We tested against typical jobsite ambient ~85 dB. For very loud environments, both speakers can also type rather than speak.

Does this help with OSHA bilingual training compliance?

OSHA's 2010 standard interpretation requires safety training in a language workers understand. VoiceBridge emails you a transcript and summary after every conversation, with safety mentions auto-flagged. That email is your documentation when OSHA asks for proof of bilingual safety communication. We do not file the paperwork for you, but we generate it automatically.

What languages are supported?

English, Spanish, and Portuguese today. These three cover ~95% of US construction-worker language pairs. We are working on Tagalog, Vietnamese, and Mandarin for 2026.

What does it cost the worker?

Zero. Workers always use VoiceBridge for free, even on the Free tier. They never see a paywall and we never ask them for an email. The Pro/Team/Business subscription belongs entirely to the contractor.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Subscriptions are month-to-month. Cancel from your account page or your Stripe customer portal — no phone call, no email retention pitch. You keep access until the end of your current billing period.
